Seeing is an encounter with the (yet) invisible.
The moment a new image enters our eyes, the mind instantly begins its search. By tracing familiar contours, textures and colours it assigns them meaning before awareness even registers the sight. Whether it is a tone, a word, or a fully formed mind visual, these automatic mental associations shape what we call perception into a vibration between the raw gaze and its internal projection.
As a visual artist and theorist, my practice explores this very threshold - observing it as a complex adjustment between past memory and new experiences, employing the eye not just as a lens but as a negotiator of our reality.

Milica Bravačić builds her painting cycles and photographic installations through fragments, repetitions and circular frames. A detail is never only a detail: it becomes a point of return, a trace of memory, and a quiet invitation to look again.
In works such as Frieze Ambulo and Circular Way of the Cross, documentary images move beyond record keeping. They become objects of contemplation, shaped by rhythm, scale and the viewer's own associations.
